Letat lite på RGP och det verkar finnas många som "vet" att det är en dålig DMD.  Det enda konkreta jag funnit där någon defakto har provat nåt som funkat är

Had the same problem with my Fish Tales .
Sometimes it came up immediately , and sometimes I had to wait +/- 1
minute to turn from a blank display into a working display at full
strenght . This was no sign of outgassing as when the DMD came on it
was immediately at full strenght ie it didn't have to warm up . I
changed the display , and the display driver board to no avail . Then
the game started resetting in multiball , your regular BR2 trouble ,
changed BR2 and the display has never come up late since then.
