Vanligt glas gör detsamma med spelplanen som du själv kan göra med kniv i handen. Dessa stora skärvor blir ofta som knivar. Spela vidare och se vad som händer med spelplanen med tiden när man har fått "öppningar" i silktrycket.

Det finns fler orsaker till att man alltid har använt härdat glas.
"My experience in my father's arcade years ago was when ever you had a plate glass playfield glass broken, the sharp edges always fucked up the playfield. I've never seen playfield damage from broken tempered glass."
"Go with tempered, it's stronger. Tempering relieves the internal stresses in the glass and can increase it's breaking strength by a factor of 4. If you go with normal "plate" style glass it will easily crack if struck."

"I have always wondered when I would see a situation where tempered glass is a must. I have seen two instances. One because of tempered glass resulted in major damage but not as severe as could of been injuries. The other was when someone (one we all know) smashed a glass on my STNG at the Texas Pinball Festival two years ago and it was not tempered. People around the game sustain some pretty good cuts and the severity of the situation was very minor. If it had been tempered there would of been no issue. I have always wondered if a kid gets on top of a game without tempered glass like a double level game (deep to field) and would fall through the glass you could potentially cause severe damage to the childs legs and possible permanent walking issues. Bottom line. ALWAYS USE TEMPERED GLASS."
