This is how you configure Visual Pinball and VPINMAME for playing actual Pinball Tables at your computer. You may want to put this in another directory, but this describes the easiest way to get this to work. If you do alter the installation path, you have to change all paths in the installation program as well.
1. If you already have the simulator installed. Remove all installations using Windows "Add/Remove programs" in your Control Panel.
2. Doubleclick and extract the file "pinballpack.zip" to c: Note: DO NOT extract to C:games etc. Winzip will create a directory called c:pinballpack for you.
3. Extract the content of the file "VPM152Beta1 to your directory: C:pinballpack. Answer "yes" on the question if you want to overwrite existing files.
4. Run setup.exe in the directory C:pinballpack. Install using default values only.
5. (If you do not have XP Service pack 2 installed, skip this.) Extract the content of vpinballexetb61xpfix5.zip to the directory c:pinballpackVisual Pinball Delete the existing file VPinball.exe and rename vpinballexetb61xpfix5 to VPinball.exe
6. Extract the content of vpvbs3_21.zip to c:pinballpackVisual PinballTables
7. Enjoy playing your games!
Please note that your tables downloaded from VPForums do not automatically finds the correct place. Always put the .vpt file in c:pinballpackVisual PinballTables though and the ROM-fil (NOT EXTRACTED) in c:pinballpackoms. There might also be files like NVRAM:s that you want to put in the corresponding directory.
