Hello everyone! K15 Open is back after a short 5-year hiatus! The tournament location in downtown Helsinki and the general structure of the tournament weekend remain the same, but some changes have been made to make the main tournament eligible for IFPA certified event status. See our webpage https://k15.fi for more details about the event. In addition, we also have another amazing pinball location in Helsinki supporting us this year: Flipperikellari ( https://flipperikellari.fi) will be organizing their own one day tournaments throughout the tournament weekend to provide you with even more tournament playing opportunities for the times you are not playing in K15 Open qualifications or playoffs. It takes about 25 minutes by car or taxi to get from K15 to Flipperikellari, or about 45 mins with public transportation. K15 Open consists of three qualifying sessions, one during Friday and two on Saturday, all play-offs will be played on Sunday. During the registration, each player will choose one of the available qualifying sessions. The preliminary schedule of qualifying sessions and Sunday play-offs as well as the Flipperikellari side tournaments is following: Friday 25th 14:00-22:00 K15 Open qualification session 1 19:00-> Flipperikellari tournament (head-to-head matchplay, machines from all eras) Saturday 26th 11:00-16:00 K15 Open qualification session 2 17:00-22:00 K15 Open qualification session 3 18:00-> Flipperikellari tournament (4-player group matchplay, classics machines) Sunday 27th 09:00-12:00 K15 Open PinGolf final rounds 10:30-18.00 K15 Open Main tournament final rounds 14:00-> Flipperikellari tournament (strikes tournament, modern machines) (NB: Flipperikellari tournament formats and machine eras subject to change. See latest information at https://k15.fi) The schedule is designed with the idea of all players in qualification session 2 on Saturday and players present early in qualification slot 1 on Friday will have time to participate also in that day's Flipperikellari tournament. For Sunday, players from K15 Open PinGolf playoffs and the earliest eliminated players from K15 Open playoffs may have time to join that day's Flipperikellari tournament. The registration will open on Wednesday 10th August at 20:00 Finnish time (EEST, UTC+3) at the tournament webpage https://k15.fiWe are providing four country exemption spots for each country until the start of the registration. Contact your IFPA country director for more details about the country exemption spots. Hope to see many of you in Helsinki in November! (We apologize in advance for the weather. At least you'll be indoors playing pinball for the majority of the weekend ) If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us by email at info@k15.fi! -- on behalf of the entire K15 tournament Krew (info@k15.fi), Olli-Mikko Ojamies
