Just posted on RGP :-o

Not to overdramatize, but it is with heavy heart that I report
that the record flooding visited upon Pittsburgh by Hurricane
Ivan, on top of already saturated grounds from a very rainy
year, resulted in the PAPA Headquarters, a facility which has
never in 100-plus years been flooded, ending up with hip-deep
water against the front doors. The water inside the facility
had just reached the bottom of the pinball cabinets when we
were forced to abandon ship for safety reasons.

I also doubt we will be ready for PAPA 8 next year.

Great initiative!
As a big fan of Brian Eddy pins I want to contribute my part to get as many reactions as possible.
This is my suggestion for the text on the website:

This list of signatures is our way to try to get Brian Eddy back into pinball. We are aware that many factors are involved and things don’t just happen of its own. Maybe it’s impossible, perhaps a bit naïve, but recently more people have returned to pinball than we thought possible. With this list we hope to get the ball rolling and convince STERN to hire Brian Eddy to design a pinball machine for them.

Brian Eddy has together with the other members of the design team created very entertaining and unique games like: The Shadow, Attack From Mars and Medieval Madness. A lot of thought went into the design to give experienced players a great challenge, but also be attractive to new players. The games are a blast to play and offer much more depth than commercially needed.

Brian Eddy has encouraged us to persuade Gary Stern to hire his skills. From talking to him we learned that he gets new ideas for toys and playfield details everyday. As he told us “It wasn’t just a job, but a way of life”. Together with the talented people at STERN we would love to see these ideas materialize. If you also feel that the career of Brian Eddy as a pinball designer ended too soon, put your name on the list and just maybe…
