Det har kommit mer info!

We've finally gotten so far into planning that we are able to officially
open the pre-registrations for this years European Pinball Championship,
taking place at Marketenderiet in Valby, a borough in the danish capital
of Copenhagen, from the 11th to the 13th of October, 2019.

The tournament weekend, in short, is comprised of two tournaments, the
European Pinball Championship, and running alongside, the ever popular
Danish Pinball Open, back for its 14th iteration.

Furthermore there will also be the traditional National Team Tournament,
where each country can enter a selection of their finest players, to
compete for national glory and honor.

Finally, as we had at last years DPO, there will be a second chance
consolation tournament on sunday, for everyone that has had the
misfortune of being knocked out of both the EPC and DPO.

The price for participation is 55€ + 5€ handling fee, totalling 60€ in
all.


The formats, explained quickly.

EPC: Qualification on 10 player selected machines from a large bank,
leading into head to head final rounds, ending in a 4 man grand final on
sunday.

DPO: Qualification on 8 player selected machines from a large bank,
leading into 4 man group final rounds, ending in a 4 man grand final on
sunday.

National championship: Format still not finalized.

Second chance: Format still not finalized.


The schedule, summarized.

* Friday: 5 EPC qualification slots, DPO qualification open through the
day, national team tournament.
* Saturday: 3 EPC qualification slots, DPO qualifications open through
the day.
* Sunday: EPC finals, DPO finals, Second Chance consolation tournament.

Every country is allotted 5 pre-registrations, how you decide who is
going to play is up to each individual country.

The 5 pre-registered players will also represent their respective
countries in the national team tournament, so choose your players
wisely. (In case of a player not being able to actually come to the EPC,
substitutions are of course allowed)

Både Johan och David skulle enligt mig bli utmärkta ersättare. Kunniga, engagerade och med vittförgrenade kontaktnät i flippervärlden.

Not: Man kan nog också ha fler än en CD om man vill. Har för mig att några länder har kört så.

Tror inte att jag kan den helgen, men sätter upp mig som reserv ändå.

A quick heads-up for you all that registration for the Fantastic Five tournaments will open tomorrow evening at 8pm UK time (21:00 CET).

If there is any other information you would like to see included (more hotels, more transport info, etc.) let me know and I'll see what I can do to put it on there.

Note: Registration is limited to 80 players in the UK Pinball Open & UK Pinball Classic, and 40 players in the Chief Coffee Flip Frenzy.  The other tournaments do not require registration.
