Kristiania Flipperselskap i Oslo arrangerer vår årlige XMAS Matchplay Open turnering, 3-5 desember i år. Vi måtte utsette ifjor grunnet covid, men i år er vi klare for å fortsette med denne matchplay helga som har blitt en tradisjon over mange år. Jeg poster her da det hadde absolutt vært hyggelig om noen fra Sverige vil bli med på en trevlig pinball-helg i oslo.

Friday 03.12: Warmup tournament (Stern army event):18.00 - 19.00: Attendance and registration
19.00 - 23.00: 9 rounds of group matchplay, scoring 4-2-1-0.
23.00 - 01.00: Top 4 players from qualifications play finals on 4 games (4-2-1-0)
Automatic tie break for position within top 4 in qualifications. Tie break is played for a spot In finals, if necessary. In the finals each player chooses a game. Top seed then chooses order of games, and position on game 1.
Saturday 4.12: Main qualifications and sidetournamentFormat:
Main tournament will consist of 5 rounds, with 3 games in each round, one from each era (EM, SS and modern). Points 7-5-3-1, the first round pairing is IFPA Slaughter, and for the next rounds it will be tiered swiss. Top 16 players advance to playoffs on sunday.
In playoffs there will be three rounds of group matchplay, each round consists of 5 games. Scoring 7-5-3-1 Top two in each group advances to next. This continues all the way til the finals are done, and the XMAS champion of 2021 is determined!
Side tournament will be a death race format on classic machines. Group matchplay with points 4-2-1-0, and the first 8 players who get 28 points advance to semifinals.
Semifinals is group matchplay on 3 machines, top two in each group advances.
Finals are on three machines.
Surprise matches will be played after food break, eight players are randomly drawn and places in two groups, each group playing a single game for the opportunity to win a prize!

15.30 - 16.45: Main Round 5 (end of qualifications)
16.45 - 18.45: Food break
18.45 - 19.15: Tie breaks // Suprise Match #1 + #2
Side classics:
19.30 - 22: (minimum 7 rounds, first top 8 to 28 points)
22 - 23: semifinals 3 games
23 - 00: finals 3 games
Note: We aim for saturday evening to be more low key and abit more party factor, so during side finals it may be music and people playing cash games or for fun next to the finals games.
Sunday 5.12: Main playoffs and leftoversLeftovers tournament will start at 12.00, so the 8 players who are out of main playoffs after round 1 can joine. It will be played parallell to the main tournament and will be 4 hours of group matchplay, as many rounds as possible. No finals, and we cant guarantee 100 % tgp.
